Hi-P Conflict Minerals Policy
Release time:2023.09.05

Hi-P’s products, like many other high-tech companies, contain various metals that were purchased from third-party vendors and originate from all over the world. These metals include tin, tantalum, tungsten and gold, which are known as “3TG” which also referred to as “conflict minerals.” These metals have been labeled “conflict minerals” because they are sourced, in part, from the conflict-laden Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries (the “Conflict Region”), and because some of the trading of these metals is believed to be funding the illegal armed groups responsible for the conflict there.

Hi-P is committed to exercise due diligence in accordance to OECD Guidance regarding the source and chain of custody of such metals, and satisfied the reporting and sourcing of this requirements.

Hi-P expects that its suppliers have adopted policy which is consistent with OECD Due Diligence Guidance and have developed processes in place to identify the source of the Conflict Minerals contained in their products, and that those metals are validated “conflict-free” by independent third-party organization or audit program.

Hi-P will seek alternative sources of these 3TG metals if any of our suppliers cannot demonstrate sufficient due diligence documenting that the metals used in the manufacture of our products are conflict-free.

Hip is committed to communicate CMRT policy with all our subcontractors and suppliers.

Hip is committed that the supplier not to source 3TG that directly or indirectly benefit armed groups that are perpetrators of serious human rights abuse in the DRC or an adjoining country.

Hip ensure the supplier does not ban all minerals from the DRC or an adjoining country.
